Beautiful notes that get out of your way
SwiftyNotes wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born out of frustration. Frustration with tools that feel like they are working against you rather than with you.
We live in an age of "feature bloat." Every productivity tool eventually tries to become a project management suite, a CRM, and a social network all at once. In this race to do everything, they forget the one thing that matters most: the relationship between the writer and the page.
The Problem with Notion and Apple Notes
On one side, we have tools like Notion. They are powerful, yes. But they are also slow, online-first, and cluttered with databases and blocks that demand your constant management. You spend more time "organizing" your notes than actually writing them.
On the other side, we have Apple Notes. It's fast and native, but it's a walled garden. The formatting is limited, export is a nightmare, and it lacks the power features that modern thinkers need—like wiki-links and proper markdown support.
The Swifty Universe
SwiftyNotes is the centerpiece of what we call the Swifty Universe. Along with SwiftyScribe (for voice capture) and SwiftyClip (for research), we are building a suite of tools that respect your time and your intelligence.
Our philosophy is simple: The interface should recede.
The 3-Pane Philosophy
We've spent months perfecting our 3-pane layout. It's designed to give you context without distraction. Your workspaces on the left, your notes list in the middle, and your focus—the editor—on the right. It’s a classic pattern, refined for the modern Mac and iPad.
"A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
SwiftyNotes is our attempt to find that perfection in a notes app. It’s about speed. It’s about privacy. But mostly, it’s about getting the hell out of your way so you can do your best work.
